JOANNE “JANINA” SZELAGOWSKI passed away peacefully in Lethbridge on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at the age of 80 years. Joanne is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, John, her two daughters: Janet (Tyler) Cook and Barbara (Peter) Ziegler of Lethbridge; five grandchildren: Jennifer (Michael) Brunelle, Cheryl (Charles) Smith, Ryan Cook, Kimberly and Stephanie Ziegler; two great grandchildren: Kayla and Alyssa Brunelle. Joanne is also survived by three sisters from Calgary: Czeslawa Balcerzak, Jadwiga (Kazimierz) Kowalewski, and Anna Black; and numerous nieces and nephews.

MRS. ANN ELIZABETH SZPAK, beloved wife of the late Stefan Szpak, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, at the Legacy Lodge in Lethbridge on Saturday, September 15th, 2012 at the age of 87 years. Cremation, no service. A private interment will be held at a later date. MRS. ZOFIA SZPAKOWSKI, beloved wife of the late Eugeniusz Szpakowski of Lethbridge, passed away at home on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at the age of 83 years. Zofia is survived by her 2 children Jerzy (Krystyna) Szpakowski and Miroslawa (Andrew) Sadza of Lethbridge, 3 grandchildren; Natalia, Karolina and Jacek as well as extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Eugeniusz 'Eugene', parents and 2 sisters. Zofia was born on April 1, 1925 in Guzow, Poland.
