HORN, FLORENCE " ESTHER"

MRS. ESTHER HOUSTON BODELL HORN, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Melvin Horn, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, May 21, 2010 at the age of 89 years. She is survived by three children; Dan (Marilyn) Bodell of Lethbridge, Lois (John) Jardine of Lethbridge and Sharon (Ray) Baker of Calgary; 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by one sister, Barbara Suffisick; Esther was predeceased by her mother, Florence Houston, son, Dale Bodell; 2 brothers, Herbert and Jack Houston, and by one great-grandson Garrett Jardine.

HORNER, TIM

HORNER TIM HORNER, beloved husband of Gail Horner of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, November 1, 2010, at the age of 59 years. Besides his loving wife Gail, Tim is survived by his children Ian and Todd Horner, and parents Alf and Coral Horner. Tim was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend to many. His memory will be cherished and survive through the lives of all those he touched.

There will be a few unused tags this season MR. HORST FAUSER, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Calgary Foothills Hospital, Burn Unit, on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the age of age of 82 years. He is survived by his three children and their families, Ulla Susanne (Paige and Michael), Robert (Sandy) and Elke (Shawn, Sébastien, Heather, Geneviève, Marc-Antoine and Jennifer). Horst is also survived by his sister, Ingrid in Weimar, Germany, her two daughters Karin and Dagmar, their families and his beloved Ellen.

It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Horst Harry Torkel after a brief illness. He leaves to mourn his passing; his beloved wife of 56 years Anna (Nee Kutzner), sons Brian and Ralph Torkel, daughter Irene Torkel (David Finch-Field) and granddaughters Whitney and Desiree Torkel-Finchfield. As well as his sisters Linda (Walter) Hoffman and Ingrid (Charles) Hutton. He is predeceased by his parents Max and Meta Torkel, older sister Ursula and younger brother Klaus.

MARY ELIZABETH HOVAN February 21, 1921 - May 15, 2010 Mary Elizabeth Hovan (nee Donkin), the beloved wife of the late Albert Hovan, passed away on May 15, 2010 in Lethbridge at the Chinook Regional Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Al, her son David and grandson Michael. She survived by her brother Bob Donkin, son Tom (Sharon), granddaughters; Chrissy (Jacob) Roecker of Elgin, Oklahoma, Kimmie (Scott) Ully of Lethbridge, and Dian (David) Stewart of Thatcher, Arizona, 6 great grandchildren: Eliza, Daniel, Rainey, and Michael Roecker, and Makynna and Oryn Ully, and many nieces and nephews.

BELLEW MR. HOWARD ESTEL BELLEW, beloved husband of Mrs. Mid Bellew of Lethbridge, formerly of Milk River, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the age of 89 years. Howard was the third of five children born to Estel Bellew and Elizabeth Bellew Swanson and was born on April 9, 1921 in Redford, Saskatchewan. The family returned to the United States where the youngest child was born and then located to Handel, Saskatchewan where they lived until 1933.

OLGA ELIZABETH HOWARD, of Lethbridge, passed away with her family at her side at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Olga was predeceased by her husband, W.L. (Roy) Howard, two brothers; one sister, and a son-in-law Clifford Block. She is survived by one son, Shane (Mary) Howard; one daughter, Rochelle Block (Brian Heyboer); four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mom (known by her nick-name “Hap”) was a very accomplished seamstress and creative craftsperson in her earlier years.

With heavy hearts, we announce that our Dad, JOHN WALTER HOWES, has joined our Mom in Heaven on May 9th, 2017, 4 hours and 50 minutes before his much-anticipated 90th Birthday. On May 8th, we were so blessed to join him in celebrating his special day while he was fully conscious and in such high spirits. What a huge blessing we will always be so grateful for. He will be forever remembered and loved by his son Ted (son Logan), daughters Debbie & Rob (Carrie, John and Jayde), Penny & Dale (Kathryn), Rose & Greg (Emily), (Garry's children, Beau, Darcy, Desiree and Dionne) (Shannon's children, Brandie and Amber) as well as many great grandchildren.

MRS. ARLENE HOWG, beloved wife of Mr. Norman Howg, of Coaldale, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the age of 75 years. Arlene was born to Walter and Carrie Baker on August 20, 1935 in Lethbridge. She was raised in the Sundial-Turin area. On July 27, 1953 she married the love of her life, and her best friend, Norman Howg. Together they farmed in the Enchant district for the next 45 years.

HOWG, ELLIA (BEATRICE) May 4, 1934 ~ August 31, 2012 Beatrice Howg passed away peacefully in Lethbridge at the age of 78 years with her daughters by her side following a lengthy battle with lung disease. Beatrice was born at the Galt Hospital and was the youngest child of Edward and Grace Drake. She grew up in the Enchant/Sundial area until the age of 7 years when her parents passed away.
