Edward was born on May 30, 1944, to Albert and Aurore Blais. He grew up alongside his two brothers, George and Richard. On July 1, 1967, he married the love of his life, Ghislaine, and together they built a beautiful life and family. Edward was a devoted father to his son Michel (Amanda), and daughter Julie (Jason), and a proud grandfather to Marie-Josee, and Kayleigh.

Edward lived a full and meaningful life. He excelled in all of his career paths, was a math savant, and possessed a remarkable wealth of knowledge, discernment, and wisdom. If Ed knew you, he loved you! “Fish on!”— he loved fishing. He also loved God deeply and never wavered in his faith and devotion. Thank you, Ed, for being you.

Edward is survived by his loving wife Ghislaine; son Michel (Amanda); daughter Julie (Jason); granddaughters Marie-Josee, and Kayleigh; and his brother Richard.

Edward was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Aurore; his brother George (Aline); and sister-in-law Denise.

A Prayer Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2825 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. with Deacon Bruce Barnett officiating.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. MARTHA’S CATHOLIC CHURCH – 355 Columbia Blvd West, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Fernando Genogaling and Father William Monis Concelebrating.

Ed will be laid to rest in Archmount Cemetery.
