Besides his wife of 49 years, Duane is survived by their two children, Darren (Deanna) and Carrie (Trevor). Duane was a family man and his proudest and greatest joy was being able to watch his three grandchildren, Hayden, Marlie & Arthur grow. He always made an effort to be at as many of their activities as possible.

Duane is also survived by four brothers and three sisters: Ken (Eleanor), Marilyn (Sam), Lorne, Ross (Wendy), Allan (Vicki), Eleanor (Russ) and Sherri (Tim); two brothers-in-law, Roger and Les; and sister-in-law Sandy, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

On May 17, 1975, Duane married his best friend Val and the two were happily married just short of 50 years. Duane and Val resided in Picture Butte until 2019, when they moved to Lethbridge, where they resided until his passing.

Duane worked for Lethbridge County for 41 years. He was a hard worker and was very dedicated and proud of his time there. When Duane wasn’t at work, he enjoyed the outdoors (hunting, fishing, camping) not to mention trips out to the family farm.

A Celebration of Life will be held at McKILLOP UNITED CHURCH, 2329 – 15 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Trevor Potter officiating.

In memory of Duane, those who wish may donate to a charity of their choice.
