Crazybull, Covey

January 10, 2026

COVEY STRAUSS CRAZYBULL, of Calgary, beloved son of John Wesley Crazybull and Jody White Quills, passed away peacefully and was called home to be with the Creator on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the age of 23 years.

In Loving Memory of Covey Strauss Crazybull Ksisstapokaa “Ghost Boy”. His unique name was passed down from his grandfather Ksitoo “Ghost Man” which Covey carried proudly. Covey’s baby sister Cherish meant the world to him. He would do anything for her along with the rest of his siblings Katie, Kyle, Kirsten “Koose”, Wesley Jr., Lena, Brandy, and Cherish. He was the most loving brother, son, uncle, and friend. Covey stood in the gap and did everything with a smile no matter what.

Covey, you were that friendly, charismatic guy with a creative spark that lit up every room. Life brought its twists, but you always shone through with heart and imagination. As Covey grew up lego became his playground-buckets of endless possibilities, building worlds that amazed us. He was extremely intelligent, artistic, and impressive when it came to Mai Tai kickboxing.

I still see you as that baby boy: me feeding you in your high chair, or at age two, practicing standing together. One day, you didn’t just stand—you walked right to me with that triumphant step. I knew you could. Moments like that captured your quiet determination and our bond from the start.

We grew up as biological brothers in foster homes, meeting so many kids along the way. It shaped us, teaching connection and resilience. In a kinship home, you showed real talent in kickboxing—waking early for runs, training hard. The coaches at Team Smandych saw your potential and gave you opportunities to grow. I’m so proud of your commitment to step in the ring.

Today, we celebrate your charisma, creativity, athletic fire, and the love you spread freely. In faith, I know you’re at peace, reunited with Dakota English, Colin, Naomi, and others in eternal light—hanging out, free and full of joy. God’s plans unfold beautifully, and I’m grateful for every moment you brought us.

Covey came to terms with his spirituality and found the creator upon his passing. His dying wish was for his parents to reunite and for his siblings to learn to appreciate and accept the creator into their lives.

With love, your family
